The 44th annual National City Art & Apples Festival will take place the weekend after labor day on September 11, 12 and 13th.
The festival includes 250 artists, two food courts, a free Kids Art Zone, Activity Zone and more. The Art & Apples Festival transforms the 30-acre Rochester Park into a picture perfect display of fine art, family-friendly activities, non-stop entertainment and plenty of apple delights.
Visit: www.artsandapples.com for detailed information about the festival and applications for the Apple Pie & Dessert Contest and the Student Apple Art Contest.
Volunteer at the National City Art & Apples Festival
This is a great opportunity for individuals, families, employee groups and students to meet new people, gain community service hours and add volunteerism to a resume. As an added bonus, all festival volunteers will receive a free t-shirt featuring work by a 2008 Art & Apples Festival artist.
Opportunities are available for all ages, skill levels and physical requirements, and those interested can get involved in a number of ways such as: artist ambassadors, assisting with site layout, kids activities, helping out in the ticket booths and more. A complete list of volunteer opportunities is available at www.artsandapples.com.
The National City Art & Apples Festival is a program of Paint Creek Center for the Arts, a regional art center dedicated to enhancing life in the region by promoting, encouraging, and creating opportunities to participate in and appreciate the arts.
